WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT ICT???

That's is an acronym ICT stands for Information Communications Tecnology. However, apart from explaining an acronym, there is not a universally accepted defininition of ICT? Why? Because the concepts, methods and applications Involved in ICT are constantly evolving on an almost daily basis. Its difficult to keep up with the changes - for hire happen so fast. A good way to think about ICT is to Consider: The Uses of all that's digital technology already exist to help individuals, Businesses and Organisations use information.
ICT covers any product that's will store, retrieve, manipulative, transmit or Receive information electronically in a digital form. For example, personal computers, digital television, email, robots. So ICT is Concerned with the storage, retrieval, manipulation, transmission or receipt of digital data. Importantly, it is also Concerned with the way Different Uses These cans work with each other.

Summarized in more detail the development and application of ICT of tools, machines and processes that are designed to help people solve problems more quickly, short and simple.

Search engines like google.com, search.com, yahoo.com, etc. used as a platform for information. Internet browsers need to use search engines to get the information they want whether it is used for learning, research, knowledge and so on.

2. Internet communication tools were used as a platform for berkomunikasi.Ianya very easily and without the need for high costs. The use of messengers like Yahoo, Skype, Gtalk and Hotmail allow greater communication between the various parties, and its use is particularly widespread. In addition to communicating with text, penggunaaannya was further improved with the use of voice and video in which we can communicate using voice and see their face .... just with the internet. In addition it is useful to companies that have branches all over the world. Communication can be used between each branch using only Video Conferencing or Tele-conference.

 3. Save Cost and Time Use this Internet indirect cost savings as well as the cost of telephone calls and other costs such as transportation costs. For example, call cost savings, typically cost international calls using analog phones are very expensive when compared with the use of skype stated no charges. Besides the use of voice over internet protocol (VOIP) it appears the charges are much cheaper than the cost of a normal call. Significant transportation cost savings can be seen in large companies that have branches all over the world. Meeting or discussion can be done simply by using video conferencing or tele-conference. They do not have to travel anywhere to meet. It even saves time.

Similarly, airlines such as AirAsia, so users can book tickets on-line at any time.

Internet disadvantages

1. There are many inaccuracies in the information we have obtained information from the internet, but so do all the details are correct? How are we going to find out if the information we receive is accurate or not? This certainly can be confusing even have a big impact on some people. There are many people who use the internet and disseminate information according to their own self-interest. Some are using the internet to make defamation of another person for the purpose of dropping people / groups of people. Therefore we must be smart to assess the validity of the information.

 2. Virus / Malware / Worm / Trojan Internet is one of the resources used to spread the virus / malware and Internet sebagainya.Pengguna necessarily have little knowledge about virus attacks, malware and the likes. This is to ensure that our computers safe from such attacks and data safe from invasion. Lack of knowledge on how to best prevent us from attack will facilitate the compromised computer. It is not only an attack on a computer but can attack computers in the same network. These attacks not only cause damage to computer systems but will disrupt performance computers and network.

3. Materials immoral Currently there are many immoral materials such as photographs and videos that are not suitable to be viewed by the children and adolescents. It was a bad impact on society in general. So simple materials found on the internet. Parents should monitor the long-sites in access by their children and, if necessary, Internet filtering software must be installed on the computer used by their children. This would enable parents to monitor web sites in access by their children.

 4. Security Issues Have we ever thought that our personal information is available at banks, schools, universities, government departments safe from the access by parties who are not responsible? How secure is available in a store server2 our data? Servers simple hack by hacker can cause all personal information and confidential data falling into the hands of irresponsible. The level of security in access to the server, network should be upgraded from time to time.

 5. Waste of time wastage occurs if too long time to play games, chat and surf the sites that are not beneficial. These activities can be done but must be provided time is limited. Most recent social networking site Facebook, there are many applications in which the site can be used and also there is a function to chat. Some companies block access to the site because it can reduce employee productivity of their work.
Mobile Phone

Mobile phone (also known as hand phone, cellular phones, cordless phones) is an electronic device, a portable, short-range use as a tool for voice or data communication over a network of base stations known as the site of the cell. In addition to the standard voice function as telephones, cell phones are now capable of supporting many additional GSM service, and have an additional phone features, such as short message service SMS for text message, e-mail, packet converter for Internet access, gaming, Bluetooth, infrared , camera with video recorder and Multimedia Messaging Service ('' Multimedia Messaging Service - MMS'') for sending and receiving video. Most of the mobile phone will be connected to the cellular network base stations (cell sites''''), which is then connected to the public switched telephone network (public switched telephone network'' -'' PSTN) (the exception is satellite phones).

According to internal memos, American Telephone & Telegraph'' talk'' to develop a wireless phone in 1915, but concerned the implementation of the technology will undermine its monopoly on wired service in the United States.

Commercial mobile phone service first launched in Japan by NTT in 1978. By November 2007, the number of mobile phone subscribers worldwide has mencecah.3 billion, or half of the human population (although some users have multiple subscription, or inactive subscriptions), which also makes mobile phones the most widely used technology and common electronic devices in the world. There is also a study on the acceptance of mobile phone services

Marketed commercially since about 10 years ago, mobile phones experiencing rapid growth with over 15 million users in Malaysia in 2004, based on a survey conducted Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). Out of the total 61.1 percent of mobile phone users are men, while 38.9 percent were female.

From there triggered a variety of forms ranging from mobile phone technology technology Global System Mobile Communications (GSM), complemented WAP / GPRS until there who can download music, connect to the Internet and record still pictures or visual. How good is that!

Alexander Graham Bell successfully invented the telephone in 1876 allowing people around the world in relation to each other though far apart.

Although, since his death in 1922, the telecommunications technology has dramatically changed and grown leaps and bounds, renewed by later generations of innovation to enable human beings on earth, even in relation to other human being on the moon without the help of cables.

In Malaysia analog wired telecommunication system (ETACS) was first introduced in 1989. Since its introduction, Malaysia between users based mobile system ETACS world's largest coverage area where more than 90 per cent of the occupation.

Telekom Malaysia (TM) to introduce mobile phone services PROGRAMS (Automatic Telephone Using Radio) 450 in May 1985, mobile phones have undergone a very rapid evolution, in terms of technology and design.
The first two digital system began operating in 1992, the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) in Europe and D-AMPS (Digital Advanced Mobile Phone Service) in North America.

A total of 9.5 billion SMS sent an average of RM5 billion mobile phone users in Malaysia during 2004. 3.4 billion were recorded until the first quarter of 2005. Latest telecommunications technology is the use of QR Code involving camera phone.

The first handset that allows an Internet connection and a wireless e-mail is the Nokia Communicator, released in 1996, thereby creating a new category of expensive phones called smartphones. In 1999 the first mobile internet service was launched by NTT DoCoMo in Japan under the i-Mode service. By 2007 more than 798 million people around the world access the Internet or the like to use mobile internet services such as WAP and i-Mode or at least use a cell phone instead of a computer.

Mobile Phone Towers

Mobile phones send and receive radio signals with several cell site base stations fitted with microwave radio. These sites are usually mounted on a tower, pole or building, located throughout populated areas, then connected to the system switches and wired communication networks. Phone has a low-power transmitter that transmits voice and data to the nearest cell sites, usually not more than 8 to 13 miles (about 5 to 8 miles) are close by.

When the mobile phone or data device is installed, it signed up with Mobile Exchange Center ('' Mobile Switching Center''), or switch, with its unique identity, and then it can be told by the switch can move when there is an incoming call. The handset constantly listening for the strongest signal received from the surrounding base stations, and be able to switch seamlessly between the transmitter site. When the user moves in the network, the transition is done to allow devices to switch sites without disrupting the call.

Usual low-powered cell sites (often only one or two radio transmitters watts) that radiate presence and convey relationships between sets of mobile phones and switches. Switches then connect the call to the wireless service provider customers or to the Public Telephone Network PSTN, including networks of other wireless providers. Most of this site disguised to unite with per round, especially in the countryside.

The third generation network (3G), which is being implemented, starting in Japan in 2001. It is fully digital and offers fast data access in addition to voice services and include W-CDMA (known as Universal Mobile Telecommunications System - UMTS), and CDMA2000 EV-DO. China launched the next generation of technology on the TD-SCDMA standard. Operators use a mixture of a predetermined frequency band by network and local regulatory requirements.

In an effort to limit the damage to a transmitter near the body of the user, the first cellular phone has a separate transmitter antenna on the vehicle, and a set of hands (known as a 'car phone' and 'bag phone') are limited to a maximum of 3 watts Effective Power Transmitter ('' Effective Radiated Power''). Modern cell phones have antenna which held a few inches from head capped at 0.6 watts ERP pemancer power. Whatever the potential biological effects, reduced transmission distance limit for modern mobile kegunaannyai rural than car phone / mobile bag, and mobile phones require more nearby cell towers installed to address the lack of transmitter power.

Some mobile phones including additional antenna port on the back of the phone, which allows an external antenna is connected to the large and 3 watt cellular amplifier. In addition the side reception area, a cellular repeater may be used, which uses high disk remote receiver antenna or Yagi antenna for connecting to cell towers above normal range, and the repeater to broadcast on short-haul small antenna that allows cell phone within a few meters to works well.

Set of Hand

Currently Nokia is the largest mobile phone manufacturer, to dominate the world market share of around 40 in 2008. Major handset manufacturers including Samsung (14) Sony Ericsson (14) Sony Ericsson (9) and LG (7). [5] These manufacturers account for over 80 of all mobile phones sold and produce phones for sale in most states.
History Internet

History of the Internet began a string of arms race between the United States and the Soviet Union. In 1957, the Soviet Union launched the first satellite Sputnik 1 that trigger their arms race between the Soviet Union and the United States when Dwight Eisenhower created ARPA agency (later named as DARPA) to lead in the technology. ARPA appointed JCR Licklider to head the IPTO a new organization with a mandate to further research the SAGE program to protect U.S. airspace from nuclear attack. At the IPTO, Licklider promote the idea has benefits communication network across the country and this affects the successor after Lawrence Roberts to take the work to implement the vision.

Roberts led the development of new ideas based network packet switched (packet switching), which was discovered by Paul Baran at RAND and a few years later by Donald Davies at the UK National Physical Laboratory. A special computer called Interface Message Processor (Interface Message Processor) developed for the design and realization of the ARPANET began operating in early October 1969. The first communication between research done at the University of California at Los Angeles and the Stanford Research Institute.

The first network protocol is used ARPANET Network Control Program (Network Control Program). In 1983, this protocol was replaced by TCP / IP, developed olehRobert Kahn, Vint Cerf and others. The use of this protocol thus be widespread throughout the world.

In 1990, the ARPANET was retired and transferred to the NSFNET. NSFNET was then connected to the connecting CSNET universities around North America and then on to the connecting Eunet research facilities in Europe. With visionary management played by NSF and fueled by the popularity of the web, the internet exploded after 1990. This caused the U.S. government to transfer management to independent organizations starting in 1995.

Internet Today

Various Internet applications, such as web browsers, FTP and Telnet

Internet commercial agreements enforced by bi-or multi-party and technical specifications (protocol describes the data transfer between networks). These protocols are based on the discussion of the Internet Engineering Task Force (Internet Engineering Task Force - IETF) that is open to the public. The agency issued a document known as RFC (Request for Comments). Some of RFC standards used by the Design Internet Internet (Internet Architecture Board - IAB). Internet protocols are often used are TCP / IP, UDP, DNS, PPP, SLIP, ICMP, POP3, IMAP, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, Telnet, FTP, LDAP and SSL.

Some popular service on the Internet that use the protocol above, is e-mail, Usenet, Newsgroups, file sharing, the World Wide Web (WWW), Gopher, WAIS, finger, IRC, MUD, and thy. In between all this, e-mail and the World Wide Web most frequently used, and more services are built based on it, such as mailing lists and blogs. Internet enables the real-time services such as web radio and web broadcast, which can be accessed around the world.

Some popular Internet services based on proprietary systems is like IRC, ICQ, AIM, CDDB, Torrent and Gnutella.
A global Internet information provider com Score reported that the number of unique Internet users achieving a Level 1 billion in December 2008. According to research statistics, the Asia-Pacific region has the most number of number of Internet users, with 41 percent, followed by Europe (28 per cent), North America (18 percent), Latin America (7 percent) and lastly the Middle East & Africa (together with 5 per cent). China surpass list in the country with 17.8 percent of the worldwide Internet browser.  According to the list of visited web sites, the Google ranked top with 778 million unique visitors. This was followed by Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL and Wikipedia's sister project.

Internet Access

Countries with the best Internet access, including South Korea (50 of the population has broadband access (Broadband), and Sweden. There are two common forms of Internet access, the dial-up access, and broadband.

Internet use in public

Internet is also increasingly being used in public. Some public places that provide Internet services including library, and Internet Cafe (also known as Cyber Cafe). There is also a public place which provides internet services, such as Internet kiosks, Public Access Terminal (Public Access Terminal), and the Mobile Web.

There is also a shop or restaurant that provides free Wi-Fi access or hotspots, such as WiFi-cafe. Users only need to bring a laptop (notebook) or a PDA, which has WiFi capability to access the Internet.
Social media

Social media is a media that is used directly in line with lets users easily to participate, share, and create content includes blogs, social networks, wikis, forums and virtual world. Blogs, social networks and wikis is a form of social media most commonly used by people around the world.
Andreas Kaplan and Michael Haenlein define social media as 'a group of Internet-based applications that build on the basis of ideology and technology of Web 2.0, and that allow the creation and exchange.
Meanwhile, social networking site, where everyone can create a personal website, then get in touch with colleagues to share information and communicate. The biggest social network among Facebook, Myspace, Plurk, and Twitter. If traditional media using print and broadcast media, the social media internet use. Social media invites anyone interested to enjoy with their input and feedback in an open, comment, and share information in a fast and unlimited.
While the internet and mobile phone technology more advanced then social media is developing rapidly, too. Now to access facebook or twitter for example, can be done anywhere and at any time simply by using a mobile phone. Similarly, one can quickly access the social media phenomenon, wich is great for the flow of information not only on developed countries, but also in Malaysia. Because the speed of social media also began to appear replace the conventional mass media to disseminate news.
The rapid growth of social media now because everyone like can have its own media. If for a traditional media such as television, radio, or newspaper requires a large capital and labor, then the other is the case with the media. A user can access social media using social media to network has access to the internet even though slow, without a large payment, without expensive tools and made himself without employees. Social media users can not edit, add, modify, good writing, photos, video, graphics, and other content model.
According to Antony Mayfield from iCrossing, social media is about being human. Ordinary humans share ideas, collaborate, and work together to create inventions, think, debate, looking for someone who can become good friends, find a partner, and build a community. Essentially, by using social media to make us as yourself. In addition to the speed of information that can be accessed in seconds, making yourself in social media is the reason why social media is growing rapidly. Not the least, the desire for self-interest and the need to create a personal name.

If in our daily life we can not express an opinion publicly for one and other things, then we do not use social media. We can write whatever we want or we do not comment on any written or provided to others. This means that prevailed through two-way communication. Communication is then quickly create a community because of a common interest in a matter.

Importance of Information and Communication Technology.

Importance of Information and Communication Technology.

Path to modernization, information and communication technologies is very important in society today. There are many advances in information and communication technology, from the big mobile phone that is very thin and its many uses, from finding information in the library to get information from the Internet. Information is all in the fingertips. Accordingly, it is clear that there is much importance of information technology to humans.

One of them is the technology of the information. Case able to accelerate this work is evident when the majority of the community population in Malaysia is now looking for their information source or only from Internet. They not find the material they need in the library because there they have taken the trouble finding books that contain the information they want on the shelf that compiled with thousands of books. This problem will take a lot of them. In contrast, the modernization of society is now just sitting at home, in front of their computer and pressing a click away to get the information needed by them. Sophisticated information technology is clearly able to save time as well as to accelerate a work done by them.

Next norms, information and communication technology in this millennium could make us connect and communicate with people who are far from us. For example, a child who is studying in a university far away from their homes can release longing for their parents to just call them. For those who are studying abroad, perhaps a phone call charges are very expensive but they can solve the problem. The trick is to make use of social networking sites that are spreading lately like mushrooms after the rain grows. Social sites can make them interact with low rates. If longing for a chat while gazing at their faces, the students themselves can use video call applications. Applications can be found in social networking sites such as 'Skype'. The availability of this facility, family ties will not break even live far away.

In this context, the students can use the Internet to help them also learning the importance of information between humans. This scenario can be seen when there are already many sites 'blog' in connection with a subject according to the school syllabus that meets the Internet. In the 'blog' is, there are many ways to answer exam questions and tips given to memorize something syllabus. Normally, these tips are provided by the excellent teachers in all parts of Malaysia. String, this will to some extent help the students in improving their understanding of a subject they are weak. It will also be able to make a pupil is able to answer exam questions well enabling them to get excellent results.

Conclusion, the progress of information and communication technologies play a very important role to humans today. This technology will continue enhanced from time to time to the daily work of man will become easier. Therefore, we can not miss in the advancement of information technology. We must always keep abreast so that the country can stand, sit comparable to other developed countries
